Amanda Stanhope, FNP

I discovered my passion for women’s health and obstetrics at the young age of 16 while supporting my cousin during her birth experience. My journey further blossomed during a transformative study abroad experience at a maternity clinic in Ghana, deepening my commitment to supporting women at every stage of life. I have inpatient nursing experience in labor and delivery, post-partum, and newborn care, alongside roles in urgent care, gynecologic oncology, and perinatology as a nurse practitioner. Central to my practice is the empowerment of my patients, I enjoy building meaningful relationships and providing care that aligns with their preferences. I am endlessly inspired by the strength of the women I care for. It is an honor to work in Women’s Health and support patients throughout the highs, lows, and life changing moments. My professional interests include perinatal mental health, prenatal care, and surveillance of the gynecologic cancer survivor.

Outside of work I cherish time with my husband and three children, hot yoga, water-skiing, and making memories at the lake. As a former collegiate athlete, naturally I love being part of a team. It’s an honor to be a part of the Almara family.
