Kristen Latta, DO
Growing up as a hockey player in Minnesota, I thrived as a member of a committed and driven team. I was drawn to Obstetrics and Gynecology because I recognized the team mentality in every facet of the specialty, from the clinic to the delivery room. I love leading a team of committed health professionals to guide and empower women through some of the most joyous and intense moments of their lives. I also pride myself on fostering strong relationships with my patients, and find it rewarding to care for them from adolescence through menopause. My special interests include adolescent health, contraception, pregnancy care, and minimally invasive surgery.
I completed medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa and residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. During residency, I developed a curriculum that trained resident physicians to provide high quality informed consent and engage in shared decision-making with patients.
I am thrilled to return to Minnesota and practice at Haugen OB/GYN. I enjoy playing hockey, house projects, spending time outdoors, and spending time at the family cabin.
