“I’ve been with Haugen Ob/Gyn for 17 years. In that time I’ve held several positions and I love that I continue to grow and find new ways to help our patients and physicians. I’m a voracious reader, a fairly new traveler (4 countries down and so many more to go!), and enjoy spending time with my husband, senior dog, family and friends.” – Taryn
“I’ve been at Haugen since the fall of 2020. I started at the front desk/answering phones as a Patient Services Representative, and have just recently moved to a position in Surgery Scheduling. A few fun facts about me: I love to learn and embrace new challenges. I seem to think I can DIY anything… I love to travel, read, and take photos. But most of all, I love spending time and working with my (now 2 year old) Great Pyrenees, Poppy!” – Allie
“My experience has been nothing but amazing since I started working here. Everyone is so kind and compassionate. They are very understanding and try to do what they can if you are in need. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to be seen by a provider in this clinic. I was drawn to Dr. Latta the moment I met her. I felt as though we clicked. She truly cares about my well-being and my pregnancy, and that is reassuring. I definitely would and do recommend this clinic to everyone looking for an OBGYN.” –Stephanie
Haugen OB/GYN is proud to announce they have been recognized by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound exams.
AIUM ultrasound accreditation is a voluntary peer review process that allows practices to demonstrate commitment to clinical excellence by meeting or exceeding nationally recognized standards in the performance and interpretation of diagnostic ultrasound exams.
Dr. Sarah Schmitz-Burns, our Physician Director of Ultrasound, and Sarah Landrus, our Lead Sonographer, worked hard to make this happen.
We have three Lab Leads: Nikki, Mai, and Meg. The rest of the team is Jen, Jennie, Kathy, Liz, Sarah, Zahra, and Stephanie. They are the best!
“I have been at Haugen almost 13 years, I love working in women’s health and we are more like family here. Outside of work I have 5 children, enjoy bowling on a league with my husband, and running 5ks with my dad.” – Nikki
“I have worked as a Medical Assistant at Haugen OB/GYN since 1998. I have worked in the lab for most of my career and more recently started to assist the physicians with in-office procedures. I love working with patients from the first prenatal visit to when they bring in the baby at their postpartum. When I am not working, I love cooking for my son and husband, or just relaxing and reading.” – Mai

“Fun Fact: I have been working at Haugen for 2 years as a float! I enjoy traveling between all three locations. I am the youngest CMA currently. My greatest inspiration for becoming the person I am today is my Godmother. Before working at Haugen, my Godmother always had great things to say about her OB/GYN provider. Little did I know, I would be working side by side with Dr. Elfstrand. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to new places by myself, and making people smile.” – Kathy
“I’ve been working with Haugen for 4 years. I decided to work in healthcare because I love learning new things and being able to leave an impact on people’s lives. My favorite thing to do outside of work is be outdoors! I love gardening, star gazing, and hiking! In the summer I spend most of my time in the garden and enjoy the evening on my hammock.” – Liz
“I naturally like to blend in and avoid attention on myself, but you’ll never see me quiet on the sidelines of my girls’ soccer games!” – Sarah
“Fun fact about me – While my ancestors hailed from the Asian continent, I was born and raised in the African continent, and now experiencing and raising a family with my husband in North American continent.” – Zahra
“I just completed my 17th year of jumping into the freezing cold lake for the Special Olympics of MN.” -Stephanie
“Haugen has been incredible to me and my wife during our pregnancy. Being first time parents, there was a lot of unknown and uncertainty. Luckily, we had Dr. Flom and Theresa McDevitt to help guide us throughout. Dr. Flom has a calm, yet confident presence that allowed us to easily trust her (not to mention a great sense of humor). Theresa was extremely positive and supportive. From the clinic staff to the providers, we couldn’t have had a more enjoyable experience. We will be recommending Dr. Flom, Theresa and Haugen to everyone we know because of the care we received.” – Jordan
