Your annual exam provides an opportunity to focus on disease prevention and health promotion. The right plan for your care may differ based on your medical history, family history, personal preferences & lifestyle. These are the things we like to address, based on your age:
Below age 26: Safety and injury prevention, Violence/Abuse in the Home, Preventing Acquaintance Assault, Alcohol/Substance Abuse, Depression & Anxiety, Smoking & Tobacco Use Health Consequences, Sexual Health, Contraception, Cancer Screening for Cervical Cancer, Skin Cancer, Recommended Immunizations, Physical Activity, Diet and Nutrition, Obesity (BMI > 30), and Preconception Counseling.
Ages 26-44: Cardiovascular health, Diabetes (Type-2), Obesity (BMI > 30), Physical Activity, Diet and Nutrition, Smoking & Tobacco Use, Depression & Anxiety, Alcohol/Substance Abuse, Safety and injury prevention, Violence/Abuse in the Home, Contraception, Sexual Health, Preconception Counseling, Cancer Screening for Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Skin Cancer, and Recommended Immunizations.
